Who Am I

My name is Hannah Jones. I was born in Rochester, Minnesota, and grew up in a small town called Wanamingo, Minnesota. After my middle school years, I moved to Zumbrota, Minnesota. From there, I graduated high school in 2020.

I am anxious to become a successful and impactful interior designer. I wish to help people to live in appropriate and attractive homes. My intention is to learn to provide beauty in a sustainable effort in my designs. I believe I can achieve that through hard work, great effort, and devotion. That is why I have chosen interior design. I first knew I wanted to be an interior designer when I was younger. My brother and I started out drawing houses and floor plans. From there, I downloaded a floor plan app. Once I was a little older, my dad and I designed a playhouse. It was essentially the size of a small shed with a loft. I was constantly decorating and redesigning. My dad finally allowed me to help him paint the walls with colors I had picked out. The playhouse over the years transformed from a classroom, art studio, hospital, bedroom, and kitchen, to a dream apartment and everything in between. It was a creative outlet I will cherish forever. In high school, I finally got a chance to take an interior design class and from then on, I was set on taking the interior design path in college. Once I got to college, I realized how big of an impact design had on everyone using the space. I learned the importance of sustainability, our ecological footprint, and inclusive design. Knowing how much weight is put on a good design pushes me to be a better designer each day. I am always eager to learn more so I can impact everyone in a positive way. The little girl in me wants everyone of any ability to enjoy her playhouse as much as she did. My goal in life is to live by passion and create a welcoming, accessible, and sustainable spaces to impact society in an inspiring way.
